If you haven't had a taskbar entry so far, you can just create one.@thefufuateme, not even sure what you are meaning, but maybe the additional information, including the screenshot, may help. If not, you could maybe add some more information like the installed GX version, screenshots, and/or screencapture of the current behavior and so on.I hope this helps! If you need further assistance or more revisions, feel free to let me know! IdkIndex last edited by IdkIndex I have that problem too, but when I try to install Opera GX the first time, I always crash on startup. Here for video NikxEF50 last edited by I've fixed this like right now, i checked the time it took to crash and it took exactly 25.416 seconds for me to crash. i disabled all the extensions and it doesnt crash anymore. make sure that you dont have any extensions enabled (like i had an adblocker for youtube). if it doesnt work get the installation setup and run the repair option, it should fix everything itzmaxxxx @NikxEF50 last edited by @NikxEF50 dang thats nice i just had this problem starting since yesterday. it just opened in the task manager but nothing popped up on the screen. i turned off my firewall antivirus and cleared cache to see if that would do anything. I have this flag disabled on both of my Opera, and Opera GX, browsers, and it has worked beautifully, and had never been a problem, until Opera updated itself recently. I disabled that flag, then I would just go to each individual extension, and uncheck the "Hide from Toolbar" option if I wanted them to show on the Extensions Toolbar Menu. I can't do that anymore, because "Hide from Toolbar" option, has been removed from all of the extensions.I also expect that this problem will replicate itself, when Opera GX next updates. When I try to Enable the #extensions-toolbar-menu flag, it no longer works either. It doesn't put the icon, that lists the extensions, back on the Extensions Toolbar Menu. So, I can't access it that way either. In interesting

Only users with topic management privileges can see it. last edited by Starting a week ago I've been having a real problem with the Opera browser just suddenly closing at random times. This happens every couple of hours. Not crash, just closing, even if I have something downloading. No crash report is ever generated. I've done all the usual steps--resetting to default, disabling extensions, deleting profile, and finally reinstalling twice now and the problem persists! burnout426 Volunteer last edited by Just as one extra test, test in a standalone installation to see if it happens there too. It's not happening for me FWIW.You could also test with hardware acceleration disabled at the URL opera://settings/system just to test if that helps. pathyl @Vesper222 last edited by @vesper222 I started having the same problem using Opera GX a few days ago. It would either close within a few minutes of opening or within every hour or so. Going into the Windows Task Scheduler and disabling both Opera GX autoupdate tasks seems to have solved it. burnout426 Volunteer @GhostRider82 last edited by burnout426 @ghostrider82 Try what @pathyl did as a test to see if the problem goes away. If so, an uninstall of Opera (while not choosing to delete your data during uninstalling), the deletion of the install folder if it remains, the deletion of any Opera tasks in the task scheduler if any remain, and reinstalling Opera (with the newest version) might do the trick. You can also always test in a standalone instlallation to see how things work there to rule out issues with Opera's install files, your profile in general, extensions, and Opera Sync etc.You also might not have the Angle flag set to the best option for your GPU, which could cause instability in some cases. It could just be a bug in Opera though. You can test in standalone installations of Opera Beta and Opera Developer to see if it's something that's already fixed that will eventually reach Opera Stable (and then Opera GX). burnout426 Volunteer last edited by @GhostRider82, @Vesper222Using Opera GX too or regular Opera? What version and system is everyone one using? Vesper222 last edited by I finally figured out the problem. The clue was when I uninstalled Opera and installed Chrome only for the random closures to keep happening. That's when I installed Avast and Malwarebytes and did a virus scan and sure enough, it found potential keyloggers and a few other suspicious programs. After deleting the viruses Opera now runs fine with all my extensions and I haven't had a problem since.I have no idea why these viruses were constantly

I've used opera for a long time before on my old pc, and then everything with "install chrome extensions" was fine. Then, when I got new pc, I installed opera, and then opera gx (when it came out). In first months chrome extensions were installing normally, but recently I tried to download PreMiD addon, so I clicked "add to opera" button, it took me to extensions page, but then nothing showed up. I tried reinstalling opera gx aswell as opera (it's not working on regular opera too), but nothing happened either. And it comes to every chrome extension, not PreMid only.
