2025-04-11Notes. The other stuff is up to you. YES / NO --> This superb program not only provides a user-definable tree-form database, but it can further segment each database by one of more tabs.It is relatively easy to master the intuitive GUI, especially considering the great power in this application. It's a great application for students, small businesses, writers, and researchers.Highly recommended! --> I'm reviewing it again so soon because this version fixes the one bug that bothered me: links to local files now work in WinXP SP1. It's also a few Kb smaller than the previous version. The best just got a little better! YES / NO --> klumy reviewed v1.5.9 on Dec 29, 2002 --> KeyNote is an astounding program. Try it out, I'm sure it will help you very much, with your daily notice work. YES / NO --> JEdwardP reviewed v1.5.6 on Nov 19, 2002 --> I had yet to find a note organizer I really liked, and figured I mightn't. I use this author's Phonedeck program however, so thought to give KeyNote a try. I was well-rewarded. The tabbed interface prevents what might otherwise become clutter, notes are searchable, and the rich-text capabilities ensure that even a long string of notes you might continually add to a single page will be readable. My favorite non-essential feature is its integration with Word Web dictionary/thesaurus--whose dialog box it calls up more quickly than when I run the Word Web app. independently. As it rapidly improves via open-source development, I expect it'll become an indispensable tool. YES / NO --> HeavyB reviewed v1.5.3 on Jul 18, 2002 --> Homepage offline, program not found. A great start for a new program :-( YES / NO --> Arnvid reviewed v0.90 on Mar 7, 2001 --> KeyNote was highly notable when it arrived in its first beta version, today it's growing to something quite unique - and still it's beta. The number features compared with a download size of 860 KB, speak for itself - and the well-planned layout makes it usable hardly without any learning curve. If it's hard to wait for the final release of KeyNote - don't worry, this beta is comparable to many so called final versions around (-: Most important though, if one have a look at same author's brilliant "PhoneDeck" program - one will soon see that Marek is one of the new free and individual authors who in my book already have programmed himself into a very exclusive top league.
